APHC Highlights Ongoing Repression in Kashmir, Urges International Intervention

Srinagar, The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) has shed light on the relentless repression and political injustice faced by the Kashmiri people under Indian rule for the last 76 years.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas stated in Srinagar that the people of Kashmir have been steadfastly fighting for their right to self-determination—a right promised by the United Nations—through a struggle marked by unparalleled sacrifices. Despite India’s harsh measures, the Kashmiri spirit for freedom remains unbroken, with the community resolved to achieve liberation from Indian dominion.

Minhas pointed out that India’s refusal to acknowledge the Kashmiri aspiration for freedom and its heavy-handed tactics are the primary hurdles to a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute. He emphasized that history has shown freedom movements cannot be quelled through force, advising India to reconsider its stance, relinquish its colonial mindset, and terminate its illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.

The APHC spokesperson called on the international community to recognize the grave human rights violations perpetrated by Indian troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and to exert pressure on India to settle the longstanding issue in a manner that aligns with the Kashmiri populace’s desires.

In related statements, APHC leaders Ghulam Nabi War and Abdul Samad Inqilabi conveyed their Pakistan Day greetings to the people and government of Pakistan, acknowledging the deep, indissoluble bonds between Kashmiris and Pakistanis. They stressed that these ties are unbreakable, regardless of the challenges faced.
