Yasin Malik again holds peace marches in Budgam

Srinagar, July 25 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, for the second consecutive day today, held peace marches in various areas of Budgam city.

Muhammad Yasin Malik accompanied by party activists, Sheikh Abdur Rasheed, Muhammad Zaman Meer, Ajmal Dar, Bashir Kashmiri and others travelled various affected areas and addressed gatherings. They called upon people to restore religious harmony and mutual brotherhood.

On the occasion, Muhammad Yasin Malik urged people to maintain unity to thwart the evil designs of anti-movement forces and elements that were hell-bent upon sabotaging the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle through fomenting religious differences.

“Today our hearts bleed when we see our mosques, imambargahs and houses being destroyed, not by any outsider or enemy but by our own Muslims. It is a matter of shame for all of us that our sisters, daughters and mothers who are like daughters of beloved Prophet (SAW) cry for safety from their own Muslim brothers,” he said.

The JKLF Chairman also held a meeting of elders of both communities and appealed different schools of thought to live like brothers and respect the ideology and belief of each other.

Meanwhile, the Hurriyet leaders of the forum patronized by Syed Ali Gilani also visited Budgam district and appealed people to thwart nefarious designs of evil forces.

The delegation led by Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi, Abdul Ahad Para, Muhammad Shafi Reshi, Muhammad Yousuf Nadeem, Maulvi Bashir Ahmad, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori and Muhammad Shafi Lone appealed people to put an immediate end to infighting as it goes against the martyrs of Karbala, and martyrs of Kashmir. They appealed people to remember the Gool massacre and not fall prey to the conspiring forces.
