The day focuses on the struggles faced by those living with the disease, which can impact various organs including the joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart, and lungs.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, World Lupus Day serves as a crucial reminder of the challenges and symptoms faced by nearly five million people around the globe who suffer from lupus. The observance aims to foster greater understanding and support for those affected, highlighting the need for improved treatment options and increased research funding to combat this debilitating condition.
