Use of pellet guns crime against humanity under UN charter

Srinagar, July 18, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Voice of Victim, a human rights body, has said that the use of pellet guns by Indian forces in the territory is illegal and a crime against humanity under UN Charter.

The Voice of Victims Executive Director, Abdul Qadeer Dar in a statement issued in Srinagar revealed that India, too, was signatory to the agreement.

He urged international human rights organizations to raise the issue with India and at international level to press New Delhi to stop the use of lethal weapon on peaceful protesters in the territory.
