United States Sufi Qawwali band pays tribute to Shah Latif Bhatai at his shrine

Karachi, December 04, 2014 (PPI-OT): Bhit Shah – Fani-Fi-Allah, a U.S. qawwali band, performed at the shrine of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai, a 17th century Sufi scholar, mystic, saint and poet. Shah Latiffaqirs also took the opportunity to regal members of Fani-Fi-Allah with selections of Sufi poetry.

Fanna-Fi-Allah consists of six U.S-based band members and four Pakistani qawwals. The group has been touring for more than 13 years, performing in U.S., Pakistan, Europe, Indonesia, India, and Egypt. The group’s music embodies devotional themes of peace, harmony and coexistence.

The ensemble will travel to parts of Sindh and Punjab to perform qawwali concerts as well as providing master classes and workshops through implementing partner Aquasafe and the Chishtiya Ribbat Sufi Studies Center.
