Two Universities in Sindh to impart Chinese language: Siddique Memon

Karachi: Secretary Education and Literacy Muhammad Siddique Memon has said that the Government of Sindh has planned to teach Chinese language to the students of the public and private Schools.

In a statement issued here on Saturday Secretary Education and Literacy Department told that to open the Confucius Institutions in universities at Karachi and Hyderabad with the cooperation of Chinese Government to train the teachers for Chinese language.

He said that proposal has been sent by summary to the Chief Minister, Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah in which the names of universities are given as Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Lyari University, Karachi University, University of Sindh Jamshoro and Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur. He added that one university from Karachi and second university from the rest of Sindh would be selected by the Chinese Govt.

He said that the policy has been already be approved by the Honourable Chief Minister, Sindh as a subject from class VI to XII in all public and private institution of the province. In order to run this program initially 200 master trainers will be taught Chinese language further they will teach language throughout the schools of the province.
