Turkish Ambassador calls on Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources

Islamabad, July 01, 2013 (PPI-OT): Turkish Ambassador, Mustafa Babur Hizlan here Monday called on Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and discussed various issues.

The Minister while welcoming the Turkish ambassador, stated that present government attached utmost importance to its cordial ties with Turkey and was determined to take these relations to even higher level by expanding mutual cooperation in all fields.

He assured the Ambassador of his government’s cooperation to achieve their common goals. The Minister stated that Pakistan has always appreciated and welcomed the cooperation extended by Turkish Government in various sectors of the economy. It was agreed between the two to further enhance the cooperation in the Oil and Gas sectors to help Pakistan cope with its energy shortfall.

The Turkish Ambassador apprised the Minister that his experience as a diplomat in Pakistan has been very enriching. He resolved to keep up efforts to further enhance Pak-Turkey relations. He assured that the Government of Turkey would extend all possible help to Pakistan in the energy sector and share its experience of successful projects.
