TeH denounces its leaders’ house arrest, detention in IOK

Srinagar, June 28, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir has strongly condemned the house arrest of its Chairman, the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani and other leaders including Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Ayaz Akbar, Raja Meraj-ud-Din and detention of Hurriyet leader, Hakeem Abdul Rasheed.

The Tehreek-e-Hurriyet spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Restricting movements of the pro-freedom leaders is frustration of the Indian rulers which is unjustified.” He said that the Mufti-led coalition regime had failed on every front and had adopted the suppressive measures to silence the peaceful voice of the Kashmiri people.

Kashmir has been turned into a battleground where Indian forces are using excessive and brutal forces against the civilians who are peacefully protesting for their just demands. He said that on the directives of the communal and fascist forces of India, the authorities had launched a major offensive against the youth of the territory and a new process of framing and fabricating false charges against the students had started.

The spokesman said that the fanatic communal rulers of India actually wanted to frighten the people of the disputed territory so that no one would raise his voice against the illegal and forced occupation of India and it could continue their forced military control over the territory.
