Syed Ali Gilani put under house arrest in Srinagar

Srinagar, March 05, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Indian police arrested the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, on Srinagar Airport, today, soon after he returned from New Delhi. Syed Ali Gilani who had gone to Delhi on February 13, 2014, for medical check up was arrested as a large contingent of Indian police was waiting him at the Srinagar Airport. He was later taken to his residence at Hyderpora and put under house arrest.

The spokesman of Syed Ali Gilani’s forum, Muhammad Ayaz Akbar while talking to media men said, the Indian government and its puppet authorities in occupied Kashmir want to keep Syed Ali Gilani away from people. “It is the real face of Indian democracy, it in fact reveals their plans of crushing the people of Kashmir,” he added.
