Sindh Governor, Governor Punjab ask the rich to help fight dengue
Karachi: Governor Punjab Latif Khosa called on Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan at the Governor House here on Saturday, and discussed the political situation and the challenges confronted by the country.
During the meeting, the law and order situation in Karachi also came under discussion.
Both the governors said that the nation had to show the same spirit as shown in the past to come out of the crisis. They said that well-to-do people should come forward so that the nation would come out of the crisis.
Ebad and Khosa underlined the need for contacts between the two provinces and continuation of the policy of reconciliation.
Ebad expressed his deep concern about the deaths due to dengue fever in Punjab.
Both the governors expressed their concern about the floods in Sindh. The crops had been destroyed by the floods, noted Ebad.
Khosa also expressed his deep concern over the devastation being witnessed in Sindh due to the floods.
Ebad apprised Khosa about the devastation caused by the floods and appealed to the well-to-do people to come forward and help the people in overcoming the crisis.
Khosa appreciated the gesture of the Sindh government for providing help to the people suffering from the dengue fever. The meeting continued for more than one hour.
