Sikh body urges India, Pakistan to end border tension

Srinagar, October 08, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) has urged India and Pakistan to show maturity and de-escalate border tension which is imperative for durable peace in the entire region.

The APSCC Chairman, Jagmohan Singh Raina in a statement in Srinagar said that such a step would be beneficial for both the countries that would ultimately lead to peace between them. He said, the people living near the Line of Control (LoC) can heave a sigh of relief only if the shelling gets stopped.“Whenever there is tension between India and Pakistan the people living near the LoC are hit hard. These people suffer on multiple fronts and it is the responsibility of the leadership on both the sides to take the people out of the mess,” Jagmohan Singh Raina added.
