Rivers flows and reservoirs level report
Lahore, August 30, 2020 (PPI-OT): ssThe position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela: Inflows 223300 cusecs and Outflows 222700 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 61700 cusecs and Outflows 61700 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla: Inflows 50900 cusecs and Outflows 73500 cusecs, Chenab at Marala: Inflows 83400 cusecs and Outflows 77700 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah: Inflows 323700 cusecs and Outflows 316700 cusecs, Chashma: Inflows: 316100 cusecs and Outflows 323300 cusecs, Taunsa: Inflows 269600 cusecs and Outflows 258400 cusecs, Panjnad: Inflows 54000 cusecs and Outflows 38900 cusecs, Guddu: Inflows 221900 cusecs and Outflows 217900 cusecs, Sukkur: Inflows 205200 cusecs and Outflows 200500 cusecs Kotri: Inflows 69100 cusecs and Outflows 68800 cusecs.
Reservoirs (Level and Storage):
Tarbela: Minimum operating level 1392 feet, present level 1550.00 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 5.980 million acre feet (MAF).
Mangla: Minimum operating level 1050 feet, present level 1241.45 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 7.311 MAF.
Chashma: Minimum operating level 638.15 feet, present level 639.00 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.010 MAF.
The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela, Jinnah and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
