Qaim Ali Shah presides over Law and Order meeting

Karachi, July 25, 2012 (PPI-OT): Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah today presided a high level Law and Order meeting today at Chief Minister House. The meeting was attended among others by Additional Chief Secretary (Home)Syed Sohail Akbar Shah, I.G Police Sindh Mr. Fayaz Leghari, Principal Secretary to C.M Mr. Muhammad Siddique Memon, Deputy D.G Rangers Brig.

Muhammad Rafique Khan, Commander I.S.I, Commander M.I, Joint Director IB, Additional I.G Police Karachi Mr. Iqbal Mehmood, Commissioner Karachi Mr.Roshan Ali Shaikh, Additional I.G Special Branch, DIG’s of Police East, West, South, Deputy Commissioners of Karachi (all) and others.

He expressed his concern that the criminal activities has increased in the Holy month of Ramadan Sharif , and said, it is Joint responsibility of Police, Rangers and all law enforcement agencies to make prompt, concerted and coordinated efforts to combat the situation and criminals, Bhatta Khors and Perchee Mafia are crushed forcefully.

He further stressed that peaceful atmosphere must be restored at all costs, patrolling of police and rangers be enhanced and prompt security measures be evolved at all markets, commercial areas and trade centers. Syed Qaim Ali Shah directed all DIG’s of Police and SSP’s to send him progress report daily with perspective to criminal activities.

He said that various criminal incidents should be timely reported to him so as to take effective decisions well in time. Chief Minister Sindh added that killing of innocent people is very serious offence and the same must be property looked after while the affected areas must be properly monitored.

He further said that the consulates and other foreign missions be properly protected and foreign teams and NGO’s engaged in assistance of needy people must be provided necessary protection.

Chief Minister Sindh further said that cases against criminals be properly investigated while there must be coordination between Police and Rangers at all levels from top to bottom. He said that forcefully collection of Fitrana is crime and persons indulged in this crime be apprehended.

Earlier, ACS(Home) Syed Sohail Akbar Shah, I.G Police Sindh Mr. Fayaz Leghari, AIG Police Karachi Mr. Iqbal Mehmood, Deputy D.G Rangers Brig. Muhammad Rafique Khan, Commissioner Karachi Mr. Roshan Ali Shaikh, D.I.G Police East and heads of various agencies in their detailed reports highlighted the law and order situation and action taken.
