Punjab University awards PhD degrees to 6 candidates
Lahore: Punjab University has awarded PhD degrees to Nosheen Fatima Warraich D/o Muhammad Shareef Warraich in the subject of Library and Information Science after approval of her research thesis entitled “Human Resource Management (HRM) in University Libraries of the Punjab, Hina Rizvi D/o Afsar Rizvi in the subject of Earth and Environmental Sciences after approval of her thesis entitled “Sewage Treatment by an Up flow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket Reactor (UASB) Under Subtropical Conditions,” Muhammad Naeem S/o Muhammad Sadiq in the subject of Environmental Sciences after approval of his research thesis entitled “Eco-Friendly Synthesis of Thiazolidinone Derivatives and Their Biological Studies,” Mariya al Rashida D/o Zulqarnain in the subject of Chemistry after approval of her thesis entitled “Aromatic/Heterocyclic Sulphonamides Containing Chromone Moieties and their Transition Metal Complexes: Synthesis, Structural Elucidation and Evaluation of Biological Activities,” Matloob Ahmad S/o Ghulam Mustafa in the subject of Chemistry after approval of his research thesis entitled “Synthesis and Characterization of Potentially Biologically Active Derivatives of Benzothiazines” and Waqar Nasir S/o Ch. Muhammad Nasir in the subject of Chemistry after approval of his research thesis entitled “Synthesis of Novel Derivatives of Pyridopyrazine and Quinoxaline Nuclei and their Biological Screening.”
They have completed their theses under the supervision of Prof Dr Kanwal Ameen Chairperson PU Department of Library and Information Science, Prof Dr Nasir Ahmad Director PU Institute of Geology, Dr Muhammad Nawaz Chaudhry Professor Emeritus PU College of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Prof Dr Saeed Ahmad Nagra of PU Institute of Chemistry, Prof Dr Hamid Latif Siddiqui of PU Institute of Chemistry and Prof Dr Munawar Ali Munawar of PU Institute of Chemistry, respectively.
