Punjab Chief Minister and Governor Punjab hold a meeting – Press Note issued by Directorate General Public Relations, Punjab

Lahore, December 28, 2016 (PPI-OT):Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Governor Punjab Muhammad Rafique Rajwana held a meeting, here today. Matters of mutual interest, law and order situation and the ongoing public welfare projects in the province were discussed on the occasion. The Chief Minister said that the government led by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is implementing a big programme for progress and prosperity of the masses. He said that a splendid example has been set by saving resources of billions of rupees in development projects.

He said that transparency and standard in the implementation of development projects is the hallmark of the government and this fact has also being appreciated at international level. He said that even opponents of the government cannot raise a finger against transparency of development projects. Shehbaz Sharif said that national resources were looted mercilessly in the name of development projects during dictatorial era and the rulers misappropriated huge sums through bogus projects.

He said that the biggest budget of history of the province has been given for the uplift of south Punjab and prosperity of the people of this region. He said that the quota of south Punjab in development and other programmes has been increased. He said that there is no room for extremism, terrorism and sectarianism in Pakistan. The Chief Minister said that Punjab government has taken effective measures for the protection of life and property of citizens.

He said that government is committed to provision of the best service to the masses and its every effort is aimed at welfare of the people and improving their living standard. Governor Punjab Muhammad Rafique Rajwana while speaking on the occasion said that Chief Minister Punjab and his entire team are serving the people with commitment and dedication and the masses are fully benefitting from public welfare projects of the provincial government.
