Protests against Ramban killings in Srinagar, Pampore, Pulwama, Jammu

Srinagar, July 18, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, forceful anti-India protests were held in Srinagar, Pampore, Pulwama and in Jammu.

Protest strike was held in different parts of Srinagar, Pulwama town, Pampore and Talab Khatikan in Jammu city against the killing of eight civilians by Indian Border Security Force in Gool area of Ramban district.

A large number of people assembled at the Talab Khiti. Muslim Welfare Committee, general secretary, Jahangir Ahmed Butt demanded action against Indian troops and police personnel. All business establishments remained closed and transport was off the roads in the areas.

Meanwhile, authorities have suspended Internet services on mobile phones and on dongle appliances in the Valley while the Internet speed on broadband facilities has also been reduced, a senior official told media men in Srinagar.
