Prof Abdul Ahad Wani remembered in IOK

Srinagar, December 29, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) held a seminar at a local hotel in Srinagar, today, to remember the noted Kashmiri scholar, Professor Abdul Ahad Wani. The JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, addressing the seminar, “Pak-India composite dialogue process and Kashmir dispute” paid glowing tributes to Professor Abdul Ahad Wani and said that he had devoted his life for the liberation movement.

He said that it was responsibility of Kashmiri people to take the mission of Dr Wani to its logical end. He said that Kashmiris were not against dialogue process and wanted settlement of the Kashmir dispute.

Other speakers addressing the seminar said that the martyred leader remained steadfast and worked day and night to highlight the Kashmir dispute at the diplomatic and political fronts. They said that Dr Wani was a genius leader and the best way to pay homage to him was to continue his mission till complete success.

They also demanded inclusion of true leadership of Kashmiris in the dialogue process between Pakistan and India to settle the lingering Kashmir conflict. They said that the dialogue between the two countries in the past were not successful because the representatives of Kashmiris were not included in the process.

JKLF leaders, Bashir Ahmad Butt, Ghulam Rasool Dar Edhi, Master Muhammad Afzal, spokesman of Jamaat-e-Islami of occupied Kashmir, Zahid Ali, Jan Muhammad Kol, Muhammad Yousuf Kaka, Zafar Ahmad Shah, Dr Javed Iqbal, Abdul Majeed Zargar, Nazir Ahmad Ronga, Tanvir Ahmad, Perveena Ahangar, Yousuf Jameel, Riaz Masroor and Ejaz-ul-Haq also spoke on the occasion and eulogized the services of Professor Abdul Ahad Wani for the Kashmir cause.
