Prime Minister visits Flood Hit areas of Nawabshah
Islamabad: To get firsthand knowledge of the on ground flood situation, oversee the ongoing rescue and relief activities and show solidarity and compassion to his distraught brethren, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani visited flood affected areas of district Nawabshah.
Apart from members of the Flood Relief Committee, Governor of Punjab Sardar Abdul Latif Khosa, Sindh Provincial Minister for Information Sharjeel Memon and Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Dr. Zafar Qadir accompanied him during the visit.
The Chief Secretary Sindh and DG, PDMA, Sindh gave a detailed briefing to the Prime Minister Gilani about the floods, consequent situation and the resultant humanitarian initiatives in the flood hit areas.
