Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir discuss development projects in Azad Kashmir with Minister for Kashmir Affairs

Islamabad, July 10, 2013 (PPI-OT): During his meeting with the Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Barjis Tahir in Islamabad on Monday, the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Abdul Majid discussed the current state of Kashmir freedom movement and existing development projects in Azad Kashmir. The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir said, “There is a vast scope of investment in the fields of tourism and power generation in Azad Kashmir.

We have developed a comprehensive strategy for the promotion of tourism and power generation in Azad Kashmir. We shall promote self-reliance and will promote our economy towards prosperity. We have started working on a new road map of prosperity. We will fulfill our promises and the expectations of our people. Recent budget will prove a mile stone for future development in Azad Kashmir as we have increased our development funds to 20%”.

The Federal Minister assured the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir that the Government of Pakistan will continue moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiri brothers and sisters and will provide sufficient funds for the development and prosperity of Azad Kashmir. The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir thanked the Federal Minister for taking keen interest in the development of Azad Kashmir.
