Prime Minister Gilani Visits Residence Of Hamid Mir
Islamabad: The Prime Minister went to the residence of Mr. Hamid Mir, Anchorperson and Amir Mir in Lahore today in respect of the Late Waris Mir the prime minister’s his professor at the University of the Punjab.
While talking to the people present there, the Prime Minister said that the people of the country in general and in particular the people of Sindh have stood up against the land grabbers, extortionists, and terrorists and they would not rest till these criminals are eliminated from the province who have kept normal urban life as their hostage.
The Prime Minister said that action across the board would be taken against those who had robbed the state’s wealth adding that thousands acres of land would be retrieved as per the revenue record of the government. National wealth belongs to the people of Pakistan and not to the criminals and they would be made to pay every paisa looted.
Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has given one month time to the land grabbers of Karachi to vacate the state land worth of trillions of rupees within one month, this he said when he visited the residence of Mr.Hamid Mir, columnist and Anchorperson, as a token of respect to his father who was Prime minister’s teacher.
The Prime Minister while expressing his views about the question of new provinces said that the people of Southern Punjab feel that the issue of creation of more provinces has been launched to sabotage their movement.
The Prime Minister said that the PPP leadership believed in consensus and would take decision of national importance on that basis as it had done in case of constitutional amendments, NFC Awards, GB, KP, Balochistan Package etc.
The Prime Minister said that the Federal Government fully supported the operation across board in nine areas of Karachi which was successfully underway .The Prime Minister said that the law Enforcement Agencies were under instructions to take action on the credible intelligence with a view to minimize collateral damage.
The Prime Minister said that peace in Karachi is critical for the economy of the country as the city is the economic hub of the country. We cannot afford the law and order situation to go out of hand. We will succeed as it is the only option, the Prime Minister added.
The Prime Minister said that the PPP had long and long experience of movements against dictators and therefore others should desist from intimidating the Party of agitational politics. They should discuss all the issues in the Parliament which is the symbol of the people of Pakistan and democracy.
