Prime Minister Gilani takes notice of death of three patients in Quetta’s Sandeman hospital


Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani took serious notice of a news regarding death of three patients including a child at Sandeman (Provincial) Hospital, Quetta. The news was broadcast on electronic media on (Sunday) 22nd May, 2011.

The Prime Minister directed Mr. Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, Chief Coordinator, Prime Minister’s Grievances Wing to get an instant report in this matter from the provincial government. Upon submission of initial report, the Prime Minister has directed to conduct an inquiry into the incident within three days to fix the responsibility.

A Committee has been constituted in this connection under the Chairmanship of Prof. Muhammad Aslam Baloch, Head of Surgery Department, Bolan Medical College, Quetta, to submit its findings within three days. Others Members of the Committee will be Dr. Naseer Ahmed Baloch, Additional Secretary Health, Balochistan, Dr. Nabi Bakhsh Bugti, Medical Superintendent, Sandeman Hospital, Quetta.
