PM Sharif Commits to Enhanced Security for Chinese Workers in Pakistan


Islamabad, In a reaffirmation of Pakistan’s commitment to the safety of its international partners, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has pledged to implement the best possible security measures for Chinese engineers, workers, and their families within the country. The Prime Minister’s promise came during a heartfelt address to the Chinese personnel at the Dasu dam project site in Koshistan, where he emphasized the unbreakable bond between Pakistan and China.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif voiced a firm resolve to not only continue the enduring friendship between the two nations but also to ensure that adversaries of this partnership are met with defeat. He extended his condolences for the recent loss of five Chinese workers in a terrorist attack, assuring that once the investigation is concluded, the culprits will face severe consequences.



Highlighting the significance of the security for Chinese nationals working on various projects across Pakistan, the Prime Minister declared that their protection is a paramount duty of his government. He acknowledged the pivotal role played by Chinese engineers and workers in driving Pakistan’s ambitions towards prosperity and progress.



A moment of silence was observed during the event to honor the memories of the fallen engineers, underscoring the gravity of the loss and the solidarity shared between the two countries. The Chinese community, represented by the workers and the Ambassador of China to Pakistan, expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Sharif for his support and commitment in these trying times.
