People stage anti-India demos in Baramulla

Srinagar, November 23, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, people staged forceful anti-India demonstrations in Baramulla town. Scores of people assembled at the bus stand in the town and staged pro-freedom and anti-India demonstrations. Indian police and paramilitary personnel resorted to baton charge and fired teargas canister to disperse demonstrators. This led to intense clashes between the protesters and the forces’ personnel.

The clashes also prompted the traders to down their shutters, while the movement of traffic was also affected. Many youth were arrested during the clashes, eyewitnesses told media men.
