Pakistan Bar Council and Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan have condemned the smear campaign against judges of superior judiciary in open public rallies and congregations.
In a joint statement, senior officials of Supreme Court Bar Association and Bar Councils of all provinces said the purpose of the smear campaign is to pressurize the judiciary so as to achieve unconstitutional and undemocratic agendas and to further polarize the society.
They said the entire legal fraternity has its full confidence over the decisions of the apex Courts and fully endorse the same.
The statement said no one has right to malign the dignity of Judges for petty political gains.
