Pakistani Minister for Information and Broadcasting visits King Fahad Quran Complex


Islamabad: Pakistani Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan visited the King Fahad Quran Complex for Printing of the Holy Quran in Madinah Munawwarah today, says a press release received from Jeddah here today.

Mr. Hassan Ahmed Al Ghausi, Director of the Complex giving a detailed briefing to the Minister and her accompanying delegation, said that the Quran complex is the World’s largest Quran printing complex of its kind.

The Minister was shown through the various stages of Quran printing process. She was informed that the King Fahad Quran Complex was established through a Royal decree in 1985. It has since published and distributed over 128 million copies of the Holy Quran. With a workforce of more than 1700 employees, the complex produces 10 million copies of Holy Quran annually. It has published 55 different translations of the Quran in 39 languages and Tajweeds. The Complex is also working to publish the preserved works of Holy Sunnah and Sayings of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W).

Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan took keen interest in the infallible electronic and digital script print system adopted at the complex. Later recording her comments in the visitor’s book, the Minister lauded the significance of the King Fahad Quran Complex in spreading and disseminating the message of Islam the world over. She also appreciated the Saudi leadership and their efforts in guiding the Ummah and taking keen interest in their worship.

Earlier, the Minister visited Masjid Qiblatain, Quba Mosque, Gazwa-e-Uhud site and other historical sites in Madinah Munawwarah. She paid her deep respects at the Rauza-e-Rasool and prayed for the peace, stability and progress of Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah.
