Pakistani embassy to provide best quality services to community
Islamabad: “The main objective during my tenure in the UAE is to address all community issues and to provide best quality services up to their satisfaction and the construction of this new MRP hall is the first step in this direction. This was stated by Ambassador of Pakistan in UAE, Mr. Jamil Ahmed Khan while inaugurating the newly constructed Machine Readable Hall in Pakistan Embassy, Abu Dhabi this afternoon, says a press release received here today from Dubai.
The Ambassador said that the people are no more required to stand in long queues for consular services as this newly constructed hall has a capacity to serve about 350to 400 people at a time. He said that the staff strength in MRP which was 5 officials has been doubled to provide better, smooth and efficient consular services to the community.
He said that now people do not require to come early in the morning as Pakistan Embassy is now issuing tokens up till 1.00pm to all the people who come for consular services and we are ensuring that they are served on the same day.
The Ambassador said that the proposals for the construction of two new halls, one in Pakistan Embassy, Abu Dhabi and the other at Pakistan Consulate, Dubai with a capacity to serve about 650 people at a time has already been approved and constructions of these halls will further improve the consular facilities which shall bring a higher degree of satisfaction among the community.
The Ambassador while referring to the overseas Pakistanis said that the government gives utmost importance to them as they are the backbone of the country and over 1.2 million Pakistanis residing in the UAE have contributed to their country’s economy by remitting over $2.2 billion which is equal to the remittance sent by Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia.
The Ambassador while referring to the floods said that the disasters of this kind are a natural thing and we have no control over it. Being Muslims, we have the faith that with Allah Almighty’s help the people of Pakistan will prove that they are brave nation and are fully capable to come over all crisis. It is a hallmark of the great nations that they face calamities with courage and fortitude, he added.
In the end, the Ambassador while talking to reporters informed that UAE government has uplifted the ban on Pakistani poultry products which they imposed in 2008. He said that UAE government will soon issue necessary instructions in this respect.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by leading community members, businessman, journalists and a large number of Pakistani Community living in UAE.
