Pakistan, Turkey to establish collaboration in Science and Technology

Islamabad, April 20, 2015 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) will initiate collaboration in science and technology.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf, Chairman PSF, held a meeting with H.E. Sadik Babur Girgin, Ambassador of Turkey at the Turkish Embassy on Friday. Dr. Mirza Habib Ali, PSF’s Focal Person for International Linkages and R. Demet Sekercioglu, Deputy Head of Mission also attended the meeting. Dr. Ashraf apprised the Ambassador about a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on scientific collaboration between PSF and TUBITAK.

The PSF Chairman and the Turkish Ambassador discussed initiation of joint research projects by the Foundation and TUBITAK. The PSF Chairman said he would shortly visit Turkey for implementation of the MoU. The Turkish Ambassador assured the PSF Chairman that he would extend his full support in developing and strengthening the science and technology linkages between the two brotherly countries.
