Pakistan Parliamentary Delegation arrived in Beijing
Islamabad: A delegation of parliamentarians from Pakistan, led by JUI (F) Senator Mohammad Talha Mahmood, Chairman, Senate Standing Committee on Interior arrived in Beijing here tonight.
Other members of the delegation include Senator Naeem Hussain Chattha (PML-Q), Senator Haji Muhammad Adeel (ANP) and MNA Mr. Abdul Haque alias Mian Mitha (PPP).
The delegation has been invited by Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and would visit Beijing, Urumqi and Kashgar during their ten-day stay in China.
During their stay the delegation will also hold meetings with Chinese leadership including the Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of CPPCC.
Their visit is part of the 60th anniversary celebrations of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. The governments of Pakistan and China have declared 2011 as the Year of Friendship.
The delegation was received by Ambassador Masood Khan and embassy officials at Beijing international airport.
