Pakistan Navy relief activities in Thar continues in full swing

Karachi, March 17, 2014 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Navy relief activities for drought affectees of Thar continue in full swing. Three mobile medical teams have been deputed in Deh Talo, Chuha and Valihari. The medical team comprises of more than 36 personnel including PN lady doctors and paramedical staff.

PN medical teams have activated OPD system of Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, whereas base medical camp has been established at Primary Girls School Diplo. A total of 1871 patients have been treated in the medical camp established by PN.

Another truck of relief goods has been dispatched for the locals of drought hit area. Around 19 ton ration and fodder for animals has been distributed among the drought victims.

Provincial Minister for Women and Social Welfare Sindh Ms Rubina QaimKhani, Secy Health Sindh Iqbal Durrani and Commissioner Mirpur Sajid Jamal Abroo also visited PN medical camp and appreciated PN efforts for helping the distressed locals of Thar.
