Pakistan expresses serious concern over violence in Indian Occupied Kashmir

Islamabad, July 19, 2013 (PPI-OT): Pakistan has expressed its deep concern over the killing of more than 6 people and injury to scores of others in Indian Occupied Kashmir as a result of violence that occurred following the reported man-handling of an Imam and desecration of the Holy Quran by BSF officials. Such acts incite violence and hurt the sentiments of Muslims not only in Pakistan but all over the world.

We have noted the comments of the Indian leadership to carry out an investigation into the incident. The Government of Pakistan calls for a thorough and proper investigation to be carried out expeditiously and those responsible for this act to be brought to justice.
