Pakistan export grow by 13% in the first four months of fiscal year 2011-12

Karachi: Pakistan’s exports during October 2011 were valued at US $ 1.896 billion which was 2.2% per cent lower than the level of US $ 1.938 billion during October 2010. Imports during October 2011 were valued at US $ 3.607 billion registering a growth of 12.9 per cent over the level of imports valued at US $ 3.196 billion in October 2010.

Cumulative figure shows that Pakistan’s exports during July-October 2011-12 were US $ 7.899 billion, while in the corresponding period of the last year 2010-11 exports were $ 6.996 billion, which shows 13 per cent growth. Imports during July-October 2011-12 were $ 14.313 billion as compare to $ 12.225 billion during the same period of the year 2010-11, registered a 17.1 percent growth.
