Pakistan Embassy In Kuwait Celebrates National Day

Islamabad: Pakistan Day anniversary calls for reaffirmation of our resolve to follow the democratic ideals of Father of the Nation and rededicate our energies to uphold the principles of constitutionalism, rule of law and tolerance. These views were expressed by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kuwait Iftekhar Aziz during the flag hoisting ceremony held at the embassy today. Says a press release received here today from Kuwait.

The Ambassador said that 23rd March is remembered as a golden chapter in our history as it depicts the unmatched determination of the Muslims of the subcontinent and their self-less struggle for a separate homeland in which they could live with dignity as an independent Muslim nation. He emphasized that as we pay homage to the countless sacrifices of our forefathers, we should also not forget the golden principles which shaped their lives.

The Ambassador also highlighted the achievements of the country. He said it is heartening to see Pakistan today progressing in every walk of life with a functional democracy, independent judiciary, a vocal media and a vibrant civil society. He said that Pakistan’s talented individuals especially the youth are winning honours for the country in every field whether it is the politics or science and technology, sports, art, or show business.

The Ambassador also conveyed his gratitude to the Pakistani community for its valuable contribution for the motherland.

Earlier, the messages of President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out to the participants.

Representatives from large Pakistani community and officials of the embassy were present on the occasion with Qari Sadaqat Ali, awardee of Pride of Performance Award, recited verses from the Holy Quran.

The ceremony concluded with offering dua for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan and its people.
