Pakistan Consul General in Jeddah forms committee for flood relief activities

Islamabad: Consul General of Pakistan Mr. Abdul Salik Khan has said that Pakistan has been severely affected by flood caused by heavy monsoon rains in the country. He said that the unprecedented rains have caused huge loss to the life of peoples, livestock, crops and properties.

He said that over five hundred million people have been displaced and hundreds have lost their lives in the flood, says a press release received from Jeddah here today.

The Consul General has appealed to the members of Pakistan Community and Saudi philanthrops in the western region of Saudi Arabia to come forward and generously donate for the assistance of the flood victims and relief activities in Pakistan. The Consul General has also formed a committee that will be a focal point for the flood relief activities in the western region of Saudi Arabia.
