Pakistan’s flags flew high at Tiananmen Square during Prime Minister’s Gilani visit


Islamabad: During Prime Minister, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani’s recent visit to China, Pakistani flags were flying high on the Tiananmen Square, which show the sentiments the Chinese people and government have towards our nation and the importance they attach to their relations with Pakistan, said Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Masood Khan, says a press release received here today from Beijing, China.

Tiananmen Square is the world’s largest city square with a total area of 440,000 m².

He was addressing the participants of the 94th National Management Course belonging to various service groups, who called on him at the Pakistan Embassy here this evening.

Ambassador Khan said that Prime Minister’s visit to Beijing and Shanghai on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China will usher in a new era of development and mutual cooperation between the two brotherly nations.

Earlier, the participants were given detailed briefing on various facets of Pakistan-China relations. Ambassador Masood Khan responded to the questions of the participants in the Q and A session.
