Pak-Tanzania Bilateral Talks Begin in Dar es Salaam

Dar es Salaam, The first session of the Pakistan-Tanzania Bilateral Political Consultations commenced in Dar es Salaam, marking a significant step towards strengthening relations between the two countries. The Pakistani delegation was led by Additional Foreign Secretary for Africa, Ambassador Shaharyar Akbar Khan, while the Tanzanian team was headed by Ambassador Salvator Marcus Mbilinyi, Director for Asia and Australasia. The talks aimed to explore avenues for enhanced cooperation across a broad spectrum of areas, including political, trade, investment, capacity building, education, defence, and cultural relations.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions were fruitful, with both sides expressing a strong commitment to bolstering mutually beneficial cooperation. They also emphasized the importance of high-level exchanges to further solidify the ties between Pakistan and Tanzania. The consultations serve as a platform for both nations to identify potential areas of collaboration and work towards mutual goals, reflecting their dedication to fostering a deeper and more comprehensive partnership.
