OIC condemns Israeli aggression against Palestinian civilians

Jeddah, (UNA-OIC) - The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the Israeli aggression against Palestinian civilians, which led to the martyrdom of more than 50 and the injury of about 2,000 Palestinian civilians.

Palestinians are participating in peaceful marches to mark the 70th anniversary of the Nakba, while expressing their rejection of the United States' decision to transfer its embassy to the occupied Jerusalem.

Secretary General of the OIC Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen said that Israel, the occupying power, should be held accountable for these crimes, calling on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to intervene to put an immediate end to this aggression.

The secretary general stressed the need for the international community to play its role towards finding a political solution to the Palestinian issue in accordance with international law, resolutions of international legitimacy and the Arab peace initiative.
