North Korea rejects South’s ‘audacious’ economic aid plan

North Korea has rejected a South Korean proposal to boost its economy in exchange for giving up nuclear weapons.

Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in a statement said the plan to barter economic cooperation for their honour and nukes is childish.

South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol at a news conference had expressed his willingness to provide phased economic aid to North Korea if it begins denuclearisation.
