New Board of Directors of Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance elected

Karachi, December 15, 2014 (PPI-OT): A new board of directors of Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance (PICG) was elected at the extraordinary general meeting of its members held recently. Other than Fuad Azim Hashimi who continues as President and CEO, the members of the new board are:-

Abdul Qadir Memon – Director, Karachi Stock Exchange Ltd, Asad S. Jafar – President, OICCI, Muhammad Ashraf Khan – Executive Director, State Bank of Pakistan, Ms. Bushra Aslam – Secretary to the Commission, SECP, Dr. Junaid Ashraf – Associate Professor, LUMS, Khalid Rahman – Secretary / COO, ICAP, Tawfiq A. Husain – Secretary General, Pakistan Banks Association, Zia ul Mustafa Awan – President, ICMAP, Aqeel A. Nasir – Company Secretary and Chief Legal Counsel, United Bank Ltd, Arshaduddin Ahmed – Vice President, Engro Corporation Ltd, Muhammad Hanif Jakhura – CEO, CDC Pakistan Ltd, Nauman Ansari – President and CEO, Faysal Bank Ltd, Omar Yaqoob Sheikh – Managing Director, Shell Pakistan Ltd and Riyaz T. Chinoy – CEO, International Industries Ltd.

At its first meeting held on December 1, 2014, the Board elected Tawfiq A. Husain, as its Chairman. The meeting coincided with the 10th Anniversary of PICG.
