Nayeem demands release of all political prisoners

Srinagar, June 13, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan has demanded the immediate release of all illegally-detained Kashmiri Hurriyet leaders and activists languishing in different jails of India.

Nayeem Ahmad Khan, talking to Parvez Ahmad and Mushtaq Ahmad Kaloo, who were released after eight years in jail, in Sopore, said that jails and tortures could not prevent the people of Kashmir from raising their voice for securing their right to self-determination.

“All the Kashmiris languishing in different jails are facing fabricated cases. The irony is that these Kashmiris are released after half of their life is spoiled in jails. The judiciary can be asked that how it can compensate the years of Parvez Ahmad and Mushtaq Ahmad,” he deplored.

Remembering Tufail Ahmad Mattoo on his third martyrdom anniversary, the APHC leader said that pro-India politicians had miserably failed to do justice with the families of those martyred during 2008, 2009 and 2010 uprisings
