NA Speaker, Rwanda Senate President agree to cement parliamentary connections

Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf has said that Africa is a land of endless opportunities and Pakistan, through its Look Africa Policy, is determined to enhance its collaboration with the "Continent of the Future" including Rwanda.

He was talking to a high-level delegation of Rwanda led by President of the Senate of the Republic of Rwanda Dr. Francois Xavier Kalinda, in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The Speaker National Assembly said this collaboration holds significant promise due to the region's economic potential, abundant natural resources, enticing investment opportunities.

He emphasized the longstanding history of cooperation and camaraderie between Pakistan and Rwanda, reaffirming the enduring friendly relations between the two nations.

Acknowledging the strong parliamentary connections, the Speaker National Assembly praised the existence of Pak-Rwanda Friendship Groups in the parliaments of both the countries.

He also stressed the importance of regular high-level parliamentary delegation exchanges between the two sides.

Raja Pervaiz Ashraf also mentioned Pakistan's active participation in the 145th Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly held in Kigali this month.

On this occasion, the President of the Rwanda Senate expressed deep gratitude for the warm reception to his delegation.

He reaffirmed Rwanda's commitment to strengthening Pak-Rwanda bond further in various fields of mutual interest.
