Noor Muhammad Kalwal was speaking to media and participants of a rally held, today, at Lal Chowk in connection with the JKLF’s “Jail Bharo Tehreek” against denial of political space to the pro-freedom leadership.

Led by Noor Muhammad Kalwal many JKLF leaders and activists including Muhammad Ishaq Ganai, Muhammad Shoaib Malik, Muhammad Ishaaq Malik, Nazir Ahmad Malla, Nazir Ahmad Khan, Peerzada Suhail Ahmad, Bashir Ahmad Butt, Zubair Ahmad, Mudassir Ahmad Mir, Nisar Ahmad, Muhammad Qasim and Mushtaq Ahmad Matoo, courted arrest near Paladiam Chowk in Srinagar.

Earlier, JKLF leaders, activists and common people in large number gathered outside the historical Hamza Masjid at Kokerbazar and marched towards Lal Chowk in a peaceful procession. They raised slogans in favour of freedom, resistance, martyrs and liberation struggle. Before courting arrest, JKLF Vice Chairman Advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, addressing the gathering, emphasized the need and importance of the voluntary arrests.

It is worth to mention that the JKLF started its Jail Bharo Tehreek, last Friday, when JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, had courted his arrest. Since then about five dozens JKLF leaders and activists have courted arrest and all arrested except JKLF Chairman have been shifted to Central Jail, Srinagar. Yasin Malik remains lodged at Kothi Bagh Police Station.
