Minister pays surprise visit to Estate Office

Islamabad, July 16, 2012 (PPI-OT): Minister of State for Housing Malik Nauman Ahmad Langrial paid a surprise visit to Estate office today at 10:00 am by using his delegated power under the recent notification issued by Housing Ministry; to review the cases of allotments of residential accommodation made in the past.

The Minister of State visited the Estate Office with his staff without informing anybody which shocked the staff of Estate Office. He took strict action against those employees who were not on time or absent. The Minister gave strict suspension warning to all who will be absent without leave in future.

As the Estate Officer, Asim Ayub, was not present due to some medical problem, Additional Estate Officer, Mr. Yanoor Khatak gave briefing to Minister of State. The Minister enquired about different ambiguities in the previous record. He ordered to bring all previous record of allotment of residential accommodation to his office for review purpose; a power entrusted upon him under the Notification No. F.No.2 (786)/2012-J.S. dated 11th July, 2012, by Housing Ministry.

He stated that his doors are always open for any sort of assistance, support and query and corruption and malfunctioning would not be tolerated from now onward. The working of the office would be made transparent and complains would be redressed on urgent basis.

It may also be mentioned that the Minister of state also intends to pay such surprise visits in future also to check the working of the office and monitor the transparency and lucidity of the system.
