Military operation continues in Kupwara

Srinagar, July 12, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops continued siege and search operation at Lolab in Kupwara district for the third consecutive day, today, to track down the attackers involved in an ambush on an Indian Army patrol, which left a trooper dead on Wednesday morning.

The troops from at least six units of the Indian army’s Kilo Force were carrying out searches in the vast forest areas of Kawari Khurahama in Lolab areas of the district.

“We suspect that one militant might have been injured in the gunfight on Wednesday morning, so the searches in the area are continuing,” claimed a senior Indian Army officer.

Meanwhile, a Kashmiri youth Pervaiz Ahmed Teli of Srinagar is missing from Indian city Mumbai. Pervaiz Ahmed Teli who left for Mumbai on July 2 and was reportedly seen last time waiting for the bus.
