Mayhem at Jammu hospital, no one from admin attends injured

Srinagar, July 19, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, there was total mayhem at Government Medical College and Hospital in Jammu as there was no one from administration to ensure proper treatment to the critically injured by Indian troops’ firing in Gool area of Ramban. The situation turned more chaotic when dozens of injured started pouring in.

“Among the injured, maximum were elderly persons, majority of them having more than one bullet injury,” eyewitness told media men. They added that it became very tough for the hospital management to arrange surgery of such a large number of patients at a time, especially when only the routine staff was present in the emergency ward.

“There was no special arrangement made to provide quick and specialized treatment to the victims of the firing,” the attendants said. They complained that they were not being allowed to attend their patients and were also not sure whether adequate treatment was being provided to them or not.
