Locust swarms spread reduced from 61 to 2 districts

The threat of desert locust attack has minimized from 61 districts to only two districts, including Thar Parker and Bahawalpur.

According to National Locust Control Centre, it was made possible due to untiring efforts of joint teams of Ministry of National Food Security and Research, provincial agriculture departments and Pakistan Army to combat the desert locust attacks.

It said the anti-locust operation was completed over an area of 1,103,870 hectares during last six months.
