Last stator hoisted successfully at Suki Kinari hydropower project

The last stator frame at the Suki Kinari hydropower project in Mansehra has been hoisted successfully and lowered into the unit pit.

The project has four electricity generation units with a combined capacity of 884 megawatts.

The run-of-river facility is one of the early-harvest clean energy projects under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.

The existing portion of N-15 will submerge in the reservoir of the Suki Kinari hydropower project; therefore, the new road was constructed at a higher elevation.

The new road also has a 411-metre-long tunnel. The project is expected to complete by the end of next year.
