Killing of student by troops evokes more condemnation

Srinagar, October 11, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the recent killing of innocent student, Junaid Ahmed, and use of force on his funeral by Indian forces in Eidgah area of Srinagar evokes more condemnation.

The spokesman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the forces’ action as the worst form of state terrorism. “The so-called champions of the future of coming generation and their education should at least introspect themselves and think with a cool and stable mind that what answer they will have for the wailing mother of this 7th standard student who was neither in any protest nor holding any stone in his hands,” he said.

The spokesman said, the cruel and inhuman political fig-leaf to the mangled face of the so-called democracy, shamelessly offer compensation for the blood of innocents, thinking that every Kashmiri has a price tag of their blood and honour, but the befitting reply by the bereaved family of little Junaid is a blot on their ugly face, which was encouraging and a boost for the freedom loving people.

Condoling and consoling the bereaved family of Junaid, the spokesman said that the sacred blood of all martyrs including Junaid will not be allowed to go waste and their mission would be accomplished at all costs.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League leaders, Abdul Ahad Parra and Muhammad Akram Najar, addressing a conference at Galwanpora in Srinagar denounced in strong terms the cold-blooded murder of the student and use of brutal force on his funeral by Indian forces. They deplored that on one hand, Indian police and troops were massacring the innocent Kashmiris, while on the other, they were not allowing the people to mourn the killing of their dear ones.

They also hailed the government and people of Pakistan for extending continued support to the Kashmiris in their just struggle for securing their inalienable right to self-determination.

Hurriyet leaders, Muhammad Azam Inqilabi and Altaf Andrabi, in a joint statement also denounced the brutal killing of Junaid Ahmed by Indian forces. They said that the forces’ personnel had intensified the killing spree in the occupied territory.
