Killing of peaceful protesters in Ramban condemned

Srinagar, July 18, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the pro-freedom leaders and organisations have condemned the killing of peaceful protesters in Ramban area terming it cool blooded murder of the civilians protesting against the desecration of holy Quran.

Hurriyet leaders, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Zafar Akbar Butt, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Yasmeen Raja, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Muhammad Azam Inqilabi, Javed Ahmad Mir, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Aasiya Andrabi, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front-R, Jamat-e-Islami, the Voice of Victims and the High Court Bar Association in their separate statements issued in Srinagar said that it was the worst kind of human rights violation and frustration of the authorities.

They urged the people of Kashmir to observe a complete shutdown and protest against the gruesome killings on Friday people of the territory have only one option to protest against the atrocities being committed by Indian and its puppet administration.

The Hurriyet leaders appealed to the United Nations to help people in the phase of turmoil as the state terrorism has lashed reign of terror among the people and killings continue to take place since 1947. They said that the Ramban killings had now added another chapter to the barbarism of Indian authorities.

The Hurriyet leaders also paid glowing tributes to the peaceful protesters killed by Indian forces in Goal Ramban and expressed sympathies with the injured people.
