Killing of minor boy in IOK widely condemned

Srinagar, October 08, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, pro-freedom leaders and organizations have strongly condemned the murder of a 12-year-old boy, Junaid Ahmad, of Saidapora area of Srinagar by Indian troops.

The APHC General Secretary, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, in a statement in Srinagar expressing grief over the killing of Junaid said that such killings had become a routine in the territory. “We equally share the grief at this time and pray for forbearance to the bereaved family,” he said.

The Hurriyet forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement in Srinagar denounced the killing of teenage boy and shelling of teargas on his funeral. It described the action the worst kind of Indian state terrorism in the territory.

APHC leader, Mohammad Yousuf Naqash, in a statement in Srinagar expressed deep grief over the loss of one more life of an innocent boy who succumbed to his injuries at Soura hospital.

APHC leader, Bilal Siddiqi, in his statement expressed deep grief over the killing and said that it was horrific and unacceptable.

Another APHC leader, Zamruda Habib in her statement in Srinagar, expressing concern over the killing of Junaid Ahmad, deplored that even the forces were targeting the teenage boys which proved that the Indian government had not sympathy with the people of Kashmir but only needed their land. Hurriyet leader, Javaid Ahmad Mir, in a statement paid rich tributes to Junaid Ahmad and said that Indian forces were using brute force and lethal weapons against peaceful protesters which is condemnable.

Hurriyet leaders, Shabbir Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi and Ghulam Nabi War in their joint statement denounced the target killing of the teenage boy and the continued bloodbath of Kashmiri people by Indian forces.

The JKPFL General Secretary, Muhammad Ramzan Khan, in a statement said that the Indian government and its stooges in occupied Kashmir were adamant to pursue their repressive and brutal policies in an ugly way and they were not ready to restore peace and normalcy in the territory. The spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement, Yar Muhammad Khan, in his statement in Srinagar condemned the killing and said that Indian forces had crossed all limits of cruelty in the territory. The Jamaat-e-Islami of occupied Kashmir in its statement in Srinagar condemned the killing and termed it as a conspiracy against new generation of the occupied territory.

Hurriyet leader, Syed Saleem Gilani, in his statement said that it seemed the PDP-BJP regime was formed to kill the innocent Kashmiris. The Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Altaf Ahmad Butt, in his statement expressed deep grief over the killing and termed it a slur for ruling pro-India party PDP.
