Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister expresses anguish over use of substandard construction material in Matta Shokhdara to Fazil Banda Road

Peshawar, July 03, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Tourism, Sports, Culture and Archeology, Mahmood Khan has expressed his anguish over the use of substandard construction material in Matta Shokhdara to Fazil Banda Road and has asked the concerned authorities to speed up the process and ensure the use of standard material in the project so that people could not face any difficulty in transportation.

He warned that no compromise would be made over the standard of people welfare developmental schemes and contractor and other authorities responsible for lethargy would be taken to task.

He expressed these views while talking to a representative delegation of Matta Swat who called on the minister at his office Civil Secretariat Peshawar under the leadership of Major ® Iqbal Khan of Nalkot. The delegation apprised the Minister about the use of substandard material in the said road and electricity loadshedding and low electricity voltage in Tehsil Matta.

Provincial Minister assured the delegation that work over two feeders from Khwaza Khela Grid Station to Tehsil Matta, Shokhdara, Fazil Banda, Braim and Piochaar was going on and its completion would solve the problem of electricity loadshedding and low voltage.

The Provincial Minister regretted that in the past no proper attention was given over the development of the said area but now development work would be equally made in all the areas without any political affiliation. The delegation thanked the Provincial Minister for taking keen interest in solution of the problems.
